Landrum Golf Management facilities have joined the Greater Cincinnati Golf Association for the 2003 season and we have some exciting news for our Juniors! All of our facilities are eligible to field one team each of 4 boys and up to 4 girls to compete in four GCGA Junior Team Matches. Boys will form teams and play against other GCGA club teams. Girls will compete in individual stroke play matches against the field. Based on handicap indexes and the number of clubs responding, divisions will be set up, keeping the 9 hole matches as competitive as possible. A plaque will be awarded to each division winner at the end of the season. All events include free lunch and free greens. Landrum Golf Management will pay the entry fees to these events. There is no cost to juniors who participate! Last year, 28 GCGA clubs participated with teams of boys and girls over a four week period. On average 80 juniors played competitive matches each week. If you are interested, please contact Ralph Landrum at (859) 431-8030. At the time of your call, inform Ralph of the dates that you are available. Ralph will accept participants until 6/9/03 or until he reaches a pool of 10 boy golfers and 10 girl golfers per facility. Boys Landrum Golf Management will enter one team of four boys for each facility that we operate. There will be a team of boys from Devou Park, The Golf Ranch Burlington, The Golf Ranch Tri-County, and World of Sports. We will to send 16 boys each week from a pool of 40 eligible golfers. The 16 boys to compete will be selected by Ralph Landrum before each event. All Golfers will need to maintain a USGA/GCGA Junior Handicap at Devou Park Golf Course. The Junior Handicaps cost $10 per calendar year and make you eligible for all GCGA and KGA Events. Boys 14-17 will play from the regular tees, boys 13 & under will play from the forward tees, as established by the host club. Girls Landrum Golf Management will enter up to 16 girls for each GCSA Junior Match event. If participation is below 16 girls then we may have to combine teams. All Golfers will need to maintain a USGA/GCGA Junior Handicap at Devou Park Golf Course. The Junior Handicaps cost $10 per calendar year and make you eligible for all GCGA and KGA Events.
